Foreign Accent Syndrome


Professors at Arizona Stat University have been closely following the case of a women, Michelle Myers, who woke up one morning in 2015 with a thick British accent. Myers had gone to bed with a severe migraine and has been speaking with the accent since.

Foreign Accent Syndrome is a rare disorder, but not without precedence. There have been 100 documented cases of the disorder since 1907.
