Count Warm Up Pitches

An observation study in the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine found that 30% to 40% of game day pitches thrown off the mound by high school pitches were unaccounted for because warm up pitches were not included in the count. And for high school pitchers, limiting the number of game day pitches helps prevent injuries.
